
Melinda L. Lee is a content specialist, entrepreneur and attorney. Ms. Lee concentrates on general entertainment law, new media law, licensing and rights issues pertaining to content exhibition on emerging platforms and technologies. In addition to practicing law, she is also the Founder and Chief Content Officer for Uncensored Interview, a video content company dedicated to interviewing media influencers and cultural trendsetters. Prior to this, Ms. Lee was the Head of Content Management & Strategy for the innovative online video company Joost. Before assuming her role at Joost, Ms. Lee led the International and Digital Media team for the Business and Legal Affairs group at MTV Networks. Ms. Lee graduated from Rutgers Law School in 1997. After law school, she clerked with Judge Anne McDonnell in the NJ Superior Court for Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties. Upon completion of her clerkship, she continued her legal education overseas as a visiting student at Cambridge Faculty of Law concentrating on International Law. In 2009, she co-authored a chapter on Rights & Clearances for the New York Bar Association publication, "Counseling Content Providers in the Digital Age: A Legal Handbook." She frequently speaks at events on content and rights issues for associations such as Columbia Business School's BRITE Workshop, NY:MIEG and New York University.
Ms. Lee is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and New York.
